Employees need training on Patient Sensitivity

Recently had laser vision correction and was extremely disappointed in the service from his staff.Paying $3,500 of your hard earned money you expect to be treated decent. I had no idea what to expect nobody told me before hand what the procedure would entail and when I asked I was ignored -I asked what the drops were for and the technician ignored me and kept putting drops in. The day of my procedure I had a panic attack because nobody was telling me what they were doing. I walked out! It took a nurse and several staff to get me to go back,I only did this with a friend at my side talking to me during the entire process (since none of the staff spoke to me except to verify who I was). If they would just communicate better with the patients you would feel more comfortable.All 7 patients sitting in the recovery room with me agreed that it would have been nice to know what was going on and have someone talk you. You do waste a lot of time it seems they schedule everyone at the same time even for follow-up appointments. Don't allow yourself to be treated like a car on an assembly line.

I had a great experience all the way around. From the staff to the doctor to the surgery everything was great. All my questions were answered and the price was very good. I had my surgery with no problems at all and I now see 20/15.

Absolutely life changing

I had my eye surgery, and absolutely love it. I think that is a surgery that you can SEE results from immediately and a short recovery period. I think it is absolutely life changing! I would do it all over again in a second. Dr Boothe has done a lot of them and he knows what he is doing. The speed and efficiency at which he performed my surgery showed this. The staff was great.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Boothe. His staff was very professional and accommodating. I was quite nervous about the surgery before my initial consultation, but Dr. Boothe and his team quickly put my nerves to rest. I was very surprised at how quick and easy the recovery was and my vision is now at 20/20. Dr. Boothe was very thorough and professional and I highly recommend him. I conducted a lot of research before choosing Dr. Boothe and I am very glad that I did since he was the right fit.

• Cons: None- I only wish that I had done it sooner.

Great Experience

Prior to visiting Dr. Boothe I had horrible vision. After my consulation I was highly impressed with the level of professionalism and the kind and reassuring team. I felt much more confident with proceeding with this risky surgery. Now my vision is 20/20 (and can even drive in the dark!) and I am eternally grateful to Dr. Boothe and his wonderful team for giving me a new outlook on life!

Unbelievable results

I was very nervous about getting my eyes fixed, but a lot of research and some time to calm my nerves I decided to move forward with the surgery. I absolutely regret waiting as long as I did. Everything was very straight forward and I had no pain or problems during or after the surgery. The staff was great and helpful. I can now see 20/15.

Quite an experience

Dr. Boothe redid ("enhanced') my procedure three or four times. Each event involved incredible waits. He once took a two-hour nap when I was there for a recheck. He berated employees in front of me. People don't work there long. His all-male surgery tech staff must have incredibly thick hides.

I have no complaint about the amount of face-time I had with Dr. Boothe. He is extremely thorough. Pre-op, his staff quoted me a price for the deluxe surgery. I told Dr. B. that I couldn't afford to pay that much. He reduced it by $1000.

He overbooks, schedules surgery at a designated time. and then gets to it five hours later, etc. Eacn followup appointment takes hours. Would I go there again? No.

• Pros: 20/50 vision instead of 50/50
• Cons: Incredible waiting times, bizarre personalities

My cousin had his surgery done here and was very happy with the experience and the results. I decided to go in for a consultation and was happy with the staff and their evaluation of my needs. I decided to move forward with the surgery. I was completely comfortable and never had an issue throughout and I now have 20/15 vision.

My contacts were starting to cause me a lot of problems and I dislike glasses so I decided to move forward with lasik surgery. From start to finish I felt that my concerns were addressed and I was very happy with the staff, the procedure and the results. I am now seeing 20/20.

I can see!

I had my reservations about intralasik surgery but I'm so glad I just did this. In fact, I just tossed out my remaining contact lenses and it felt sooo good!

I really am suprised that there's no pain at all. They said I would feel "pressure" on my eye during the procedure but I really didn't feel much at all.

The doctor was very professional and answered all my questions even during the procedure. The surgery itself goes by really fast but there is a wait prior to the surgery, like about an hour. They told me it would be like that so I brought a book with me.

I was sure to carefully follow the instructions after the procedure and never had any issues. I think if you don't follow the post-op directions you might have problems...but that you're fault! Don't be scared of this procedure! Like me, you'll be glad you did it!

• Cons: Long wait for surgery, but to be expected

My vision was very bad

After visiting the other surgeons in the area, I felt that after meeting with Dr Boothe that he was the best fit for my surgery. I had my surgery done and I have not had any problems at all. Everything went very well, my new vision is wonderful and this has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself in my life.
