Ond of the best

by Bill1458

Hey Maggie who thinks she/he knows sushi. As a restaurant owner, I know that all fish comes from the same providers. That means - whether you go to a chain or a local place- we all get it from the same place. I find it hilarious when people act like sushi masters and have no idea what they are talking about. Sushi Samba is one of the best and RA sushi is packed every night of the week. Shows what you know, maybe you should stick with box dinners.

an unique experience of fushion between Brazilian / Japanese food!

by teknodogg

I've been to Sushi Samba 3 times now...and each time was very enjoyable

their food presentation is pretty impressive...unique and refreshing taste ( I recommand their seviche )

sushi was in good size cuts and their sashimi was fresh...service was good, staffs were polite

and the ambience was great~ except the weird looping carnival videos playing above the kitchen sometimes...over all it's a great place for date or just casual hang out...and food / staff were pleasant.

heard great things about happy hours...but haven't had time to check it out

  • Pros: unique, tastey food! great ambience, creative fushion food presentation, nice staff
  • Cons: tiny bit pricey, if going early could be a bit empty

Great Enviroment, Sounds, & Tastes!

by tysonprovoost

What a GREAT place this is! With other restaurants in New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Chicago, & Tel Aviv, this is the newest addition to the Sushi Samba Family. Sushi Samba is a culture. Once you visit one or all of them you'll begin to see what im talking about.

I personally have been to the Miami & Dallas locations. Maybe when I can get away I will see the others.

I would like to tell you about the great staff onboard! I mean everyone too. From the bussers to the waiters to the bartenders to the managers. This is a world class enviroment!

As you enjoy your favorite dish(es) & cocktail(s), your ears begin to feel a nice vibe in the room. Before you know it, you'll catch your head bobbing or foot tapping to the beat of the resident dj's groove. Keep in mind this is a spin-off other locations, so just know the music is gonna be a little louder than normal. Not over-bearing as the other people are making it sound. Trust me the Miami location, the music is loud (Just the way I like it!).

If you have anything to say about my review, email me (tyson) at tyson_provoost@yahoo

Cheers & enjoy your Sushi Samba Experience!

Chain Sushi is not Good Sushi

by MaggieEv

What a disappointment. We should have known when the place was empty at 7 on a Saturday night. Everytime we ordered some sushi-the waiter kept trying to talk us in to something else! Sushi wasn't fresh. And I don't like my food shaped like "Stars." (Hard crusted rice, in the form of a star, with some kind of overly sweet sauce on it.) Both Samba and Ra Sushi in Legacy are terrible and both are chains. Stick to local, small Sushi places (Especially Awaji and Masa in Plano-excellent!)

  • Pros: Convenient when you are at the Galleria
  • Cons: Terrible Sushi

Best Restaurant in Dallas

by dallascowboy

I have lived in Addison for 15 years and in Dallas all of our life and Sushi Samba is the best restaurant I have been to in the last 5 years. Not only was the service fantastic but the food was the most creative I have seen. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and super friendly. The Rio Grand was out of this world. Who knew that they have such great steak? I am an expert on sushi and I have been waiting for some time for a great sushi restaurant to finally open in Dallas. This place serves the best quality and most creative sushi items I have seen. I can?t say enough great things about this place I am glad that we have a place to go. Kudos Sushi Samba.

  • Pros: Steak, Sushi, Service, Atmosphere, Fun!!

We will definatly be back!!!

by chirstine_loren

Met up with some of girlfriends after work and we had the best time! The server was helpful without being obtrusive, and made some awesome recomendations for the table. The cocktail menu is incredible, not like most I have seen. The drinks are inspired, and not just re named to suit the theme. We hung out after dinner and felt completely comfortable. Energetic atmosphere, awesome food, awesome drinks, and great conversation. We will definatly be back!

  • Pros: Best sushi and cocktails

Best Sushi in town

by samba1165

I went to Sushi Samba the other night for Happy hour the night and it was so great we stayed for dinner. I have been to the one in New York and the food was better in Dallas. They told me about their great brunch on Sundays for $15 per person. I came in for brunch the next week and it was unbelievable! You shouldn't miss out.

  • Pros: There are so many items to choose from- something for everyone!

Best Friday Nights

by jesswilliams

So I went to Sushisamba to figure out what everyone was talking about. So I saw the little crabs and my friend was brave enough to try them, but I just couldn't she said they were great and they tasted like popcorn, I will just believe her. It was Friday night around 8:30, the place was packed but not too much, so we were seated quickly. Immediately when we sat down the waiter greeted us and took our drink order, of course us being huge fans of that 4 girl HBO show, we ordered Nina Fresas. The waiter suggested we order the mix of appetisers so start off and we did. They were so good, we ate all of them! I began to notice, I hadn't even finished my first drink and I was dancing in my seat! I asked the waiter who the DJ was and he said "his name is Mike D, and that Friday nights were our Samba Rock nights, Mike mixes in rock favorites to the samba style music." So we ordered our food and kept the rythm going until the end of our meal. The music was so good and flowed perfectly with our beverages. My friend and I had so much fun we can't wait to go back another Friday for SAMBA ROCK!

  • Pros: Great Drinks, Great Music, Great Food
  • Cons: Reservations Highly Recommended

Best Brunch!

by lesliehannon

We went there last Sunday and had a blast. We split the family style brunch ($15 each) and stayed for a couple hours. The French toast is the best I've ever had. They have a non alcoholic specialty drink (forgot the name of it) that was really good too.

Japanese-Brazilian-Peruvian fusion food fuels partygoers at this hot spot made famous by hit TV show "Sex in the City".

by Contributor

In Short
A back-lit, color-block facade adorns the outside entrance to a trendy global eatery brand wedged into a North Dallas shopping center. Pulsating Latin music creates a party vibe. Main dishes include Quinotto, Andean greens tossed with herbs and braised short ribs, and Chicken Teriyaki with Peruvian potato and crispy onion. A raw bar, seviche menu and extensive sushi selections spell heaven for seafood lovers. Green bean tempura with black truffle aioli is a savory starter.
