Sherry Gilderoy Performs Miracles!

Sherry Gilderoy performs miracles! I say that because if you saw my before and after makeover pictures you would agree. Here's a little background on how I found Sherry... I enjoyed listening to Sherry's fashion and beauty tips on the radio on my drive to work. One morning, they were talking about getting a new hairstyle and then styling it all wrong. The radio station posted pictures on their site and this intrigued me. I looked at the before and after pictures on the radio station's site and then I went to Sherry's website. I was amazed! She made these women look 10+ years younger. I decided right then, I was going to call Sherry and have a makeover. I told my co-workers (all men) what I was going to do and they were asking to see the pictures on her site. It was funny to see how impressed they were with her work. She really is talented. To make a long story short, my mother went with me and Sherry did our makeovers. We had a lot of fun that day and we both were thrilled with the results. After 22 years with the same stylist, I have now switched to Sherry. She is a lot of fun to be around and my hair has never looked better. I highly recommend Sherry and Shopaholic!

BEST MAKE-OVER IN DALLAS

I have known Sherry Gilderoy as my hair stylist for 17 some odd years. Shopaholic is her best locale EVER!!!! I think I'm in my girlfriend's kitchen and we're doing hair...it is a fun place, a special place, a comforting place...Well, let's just say...go and relax and let the experts take care of you. Ami is following right along in the expert's (Sherry) footsteps..she is a fantastic make-over artist and a delight to be around. Sherry is the best ever with hair (make up, too)....I trust her completely and I love to be around her and her shop. They are just the best....and you can find a darling new outfit or top or jeans or whatever at the best prices you can imagine. My daughter turned me on to Sherry in 1991 and she says I can never thank her enough and you know, SHE'S RIGHT!!!!

My other favorite place on Lover's Lane

Sherry's place is unlike any other I've been to..EVER! Besides always be happy with what she does with my hair, The shop is like my home away from home. From the start I have always felt welcomed by her and her staff. It reminds me of the movie "Steel MAgnolia's". I know someone beat me to writing this in a prior review, but I couldn't agree more. I always look forward to my appointments with Sherry! She is a very special person (you need to meet her, you will agree!) who has made an atmosphere at Shopaholics very homey, along with the great care she takes in her clientele. Also, check out her website, she always has great beauty tips!!!

A trendy new look....for TONIGHT!

I went into SHOPAHOLIC looking for an instant fashion makeover for a last minute party, and POW!, Sherry Gilderoy had me out the door wearing a fashion statement I felt great in, for under $100 (top, pants, shoes, and earrings). AMAZING!

• Pros: Up to date fasion in the store.
• Cons: You have to make a U-turn when traveling west on lovers lane. Be careful not to miss it!

Every body is a star!

Oooh LA LA! Shopholic has it all. Need the boho style of New York? The hipness of Melrose? Shopholic's vintage is a must see. And those prices? This store fits everyone's budget!

A genius makeover team that stars and starlets would die for all rolled up under the roof of a spot that has the warm inviting atmosphere of Truvy's. (Remember Steel Magnolias?)

I love this place! Don't forget to grab a cookie and pat the dogs on your way out.

Simply the best HAIR / MAKEOVER services around!

Not to be dramatic, but Sherry and Ami at Shopaholic literally changed my life! I came in a "suburban soccer mom" with long, damaged hair (always pulled back in a ponytail) and came out with a stylish, sassy and easy-to-maintain style that changed my entire outlook on life! Add in a perfect eyebrow shaping, expert makeup application and tips, and a fabulous, fun dress - and I was never going back to the "old me!" The "vibe" in the place is fun, homey and always filled with great music and laughter. I actually look forward to my roots growing out every 5 weeks - just so I can get my "Shopaholic" fix!!

• Pros: Expert hair colorists and stylists, amazing makeovers, fun atmosphere, cool shopping
• Cons: Be prepared for the truth. Sherry tells it like it is. And she's RIGHT! So trust her!

Best Make-Over in Dallas

I went to Shopaholic for a complete head-to-toe Make-over, I needed a new look...Sherry colored my hair and cut my hair in this new great hip look. Then we did my make-up, which in the process of Sherry applying my make-up she also educated me on how to choose which colors worked with my skin tone. We also did some shopping at shopaholic for some great buys...they have affordable prices- i got a great shirt and some hip jeans for $16 bucks...

I have my sister scheduled for a make-over for her holiday gift...Everone should have a day at Shopaholic!

Amy's the best hairdresser I've had in years

I always love my experience at Shopaholic. Amy takes the time to listen to me and really works to give me the look I'm going for and that can change rather often. My color always looks awesome and she cuts and styles it beautifully. I love what Amy does with my hair, It's like a get a mini-makeover every time.

Sherry and Ami have the rare ability of being able to share their encyclopedic knowledge of all things associated with beauty, while creating a delightful and relaxed atmosphere. Having had the privilege of knowing and observing Sherry's magic for almost 15 years, I have never witnessed anyone else with such superior skills or the unique gifts she possesses. Best make-over in Dallas bar none!

I love, love, love, this place. I send my clients regularly to Sherry and Amy for make-overs and they do such an amazing job. People go from frumb to fab in just a few hours. No one better in Dallas for cut, color, make-up and wardrobe counseling all in one fun, eclectic place. I have seen women with tears of joy in their eyes at the conclusion of their session, hardly believing they are the same person. Can't leave there without a smile on your face, bounce in your hair, and a skip in your new wardrobe!
