Average food with very poor service!

I had to write this review after having dinner at Gui today. This was my third time there and the service was a big disappointment each and every time. Alton was my waiter twice and he was very slow and forgetful but then I noticed the others are not as good either. The sushi buffet is a joke!! They tell you to only order 2-3 rolls at a time and when you wanted to order a second round the wait time is like another another. To have dinner there will take three hours and leaving still hungry. I believe they make their money selling drinks meanwhile making people wait for their sushi "buffet". You will probably drink more liquor there than you would be eating sushi and that is exactly what they want. The food is above average however the service is downright poor. I hope they get their act together before they will go out of business like the last restaurant there.

Pros: AVERAGE FOOD BUT WOULDN'T GO THERE AGAIN

Cons: SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE; THEY DON'T HAVE IT TOGETHER THERE.

I am sorry for the past disappointments you have had with the restaurant. We just began our Tuesday happy hour special, and we are still growing accustomed to this. We make everything fresh to order, so the wait time for the sushi bar on Tuesdays tends to be a little longer. We want to serve the freshest food to all of our customers, unlike a buffet. The reason we ask our guest to order 2-3 rolls at a time is to allow that every table is being served food. If we only concentrate on one huge order, we will keep other guests waiting longer. The special runs until 10:00 so that guests can order all of their desired food . We have many drink specials this night. These are really to bring more people. The drink specials and unlimited sake our not really profitable. They are there to keep the guests happy. As for the service, we will correct any problems. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again.
