Addison bakery offers a taste of the "Old Country."

In Short
Since returning from trips to Italy to collect recipes many years ago, owners of La Spiga, Donato and Carolyn Milano, have been turning out breads, sandwiches, desserts, soups and salads in Addison. Fresh Artesian breads are baked daily in front of eager customers inside the bistro-style bakery. Close to twenty different kinds of breads include cinnamon raisin, jalapeno cheddar, sun-dried tomato and walnut scallion. Pastas and quiches are also available for lunch.
WI-FYI AND the BEST caterer Ever!

The attention to detail from the sandwich I got at lunch, to the catered events is Bar none the TOP!!! The soups are out of this world too. And the cookies impossible to resist for a afternoon snack that I put into my bag after loading up my laptop. They have wireless connection there and great food! Wow. (usually it's one or the other) . I know I am all over the board on this review, but I am soo impressed that I don't even know where to start. Oh, you can also purchase bread they bake there at 50% off after 1:30!!! Try them for a event ( the BEST caterer!) , a snack, bread , sandwich, salad, soup..........whatever you choose you will not be sorry!
- Pros: u can watch them make the bread! Fun! and it's ALLLL good!
- Cons: Easy to miss on the street. 1 block off of Midway and beltline
