Customer Service Means Nothing To These People
by Steve484
Don't even waste your time. Reservations are lost daily. Food is expensive and very small portions. Service is poor and management is bad. Don't bother to complain, they do not care.
- Pros: The music when not controlled by the house.
- Cons: Everything including foor, service and price.
Don't even consider for New Years Eve
by Lanny456
Disorganized from reservations to seating to table service. Morrocan Room was an "after thought". We were still eating at 12:00 midnight. Classic example of "greedy management" trying to crowd in as many tables at the expense of the patrons. Tables so close to the band that there was almost no room to dance. Three persons supposedly working as hostess with no clue what to do. Waited twenty minutes in line with others who had reservations only to find out the hostess was unaware we were there. Our table was already set up and ready. :Many hold overs from 7:30 -9:00PM crowd prevented orderly seating. Trying to turn three tables in a night overwhelmed kitchen, hence we were still eating at 12:00PM. Only positive thing was food was good, just took 2 hours! Scratch off your future New Years eve list!
- Cons: Service from reservations, seating, and food delivery
Totally Disappointed!

I have never written a review, but this was an unbelievable $360.00 dinner mistake!!
I'm sorry, but New Years Eve Dinner was a huge disappointment. The service was extremely poor, and not knowledgeable about the entrees. We waited 15 minutes, until I finally got the attention of a kitchen attendant that we needed a waitress! She seemed like she had too many tables, unhappy & ready for the night to end! The salad was good - but unfortunately, the only thing good - the steaks were luke warm &
just gross - the desserts & appetizers were very average to say the least. The music? Let's just say, not the jazz I expected??!! We took our son & his girlfriend (the reason for the $360) The lighting was sooo dark, we honestly could not see the menu or our food without holding the candle directly over them both. Go to Papa's, Del Frisco, 3 Forks or Sullivans for this money ! There is NO comparison. Sorry, but the experience was just terrible.
a lovely dinner

Well, this restaurant had its ups and downs. It was definitely quite expensive, plan on $100 per couple, easily. However, the martinis were really, really good. I had the Zebra Pasta (a specialty of the house), which I loved, and my friend had the Chicken Toscana, which he said was good but not great. They had some good (but overpriced) wines by the glass. Dessert was a special of the day, a brownie with ice cream and chocolate sauce. It was very much average; not even as good as you would get at a chain restaurant! There is live music playing while you eat, which was nice, and some people got up to dance, so I'm sure they had a nice time. The weirdest thing is that it is SO dark in there at the tables off to the side, you could barely read the menu. The waitress even had to break out a flashlight to show us the dessert menu! It was ridicuous! However, overall... despite the prices, and despite the dimness, and despite the bland dessert... I left with a favorable impression, and I would actually say it was one of the better meals I've had since I moved here a few months ago.
- Pros: good food, good music, great martinis
- Cons: expensive, very dark, bland dessert
Poor Service

I had planned a bachelorette party for a party of 10 on September 16, 2006 to be held at Sambuca at Addison. I've been to the Sambuca Uptown(Downtown Dallas) location, but I've never been to the Addison location. I had a positive experience at the Uptown location. I had made reservations two weeks in advance for 7pm, Saturday night. When I arrived at 6:45pm to confirm my reservation, I had to wait before being seated. At around 7:40pm, with a total of 8 people already there, they still didn't seat us. I had to repeatedly ask(4 times) when can we be seated. I couldn't believe that they were going to wait until the whole 10 people had shown up. My guests were hungry and wanted to be seated. They finally seated us at 7:50pm. There is no purpose in making reservation for this restaurant. They apparently don't understand the concept of reservation. The waitress, Debbie, rarely came to our table. And before we were served our dessert, the waitress asked to bring our check. Basically, she was trying to get us out quickly. My guests felt rush. The restaurant automatically added an 18% tip to a check with 8 plus people. That might explain why the waitress made very little effort to serve us. Service overall was the poorest I have ever experienced in any restaurant. The food was okay. The live entertainment was excellent. The entertainment was the only thing that had saved the night. Oh, the restauarant policy is that you can stay for about 2 hours there and then after that, they will try to throw you out. There are alot of policies for this restaurant. I didn't realize this until I had called to complain to the manager, Mike. Mike listened to my complaint and then told me that he will investigate the situation and call me back. Well, guess what, no phone call. I wasn't exactly surprised. If you like good entertainment, this is the place. If you want good service, this isn't the place.
- Pros: Good live entertainment
- Cons: Poor service
What a joke

While the drinks were ok, 30 minute waits between courses, a waiter that talked way too much and never delivered, and food that could have come out of any microwave left us more than disappointed. If you're not too discriminating, could eat at Denny's, and just want to hang with some low mileage lovelys, go there. If not, don't even think about it.
- Cons: Poor service, Microwave food
An original in Addison, this supper club draws an evening crowd with upscale food and top-notch music.

In Short
The charcoal floor, marble table tops, metal columns and large booths set the mood for a night of quality music and executive chef-prepared dishes. The stage is located for a view from most of the tables. The menu showcases seafood dishes, such as sea bass on caramelized apples, bok choy and cherry tomatoes. Beef, pork, lamb and chicken dishes are also available, as well as soups and salads.
Bad Service

We made a reservation 4 days in advance and assumed that our seats will be set up on that day. However, the waiter told us that they can't find our reservation so waited there for 10 mins for them to set up seats and we won't allowed to sit until all our friends were there.
We started with a champagne but the waiter didn't know how to pour the wine. everybody's glass wasn't even, some got a full glass and the last person got less than half glass of wine. The food that we ordered taste bad (or no taste at all)!
After we paid we decided to sit for a while to enjoy the music but this was a bad idea because the waiter never came to refill our water at all.
I highly do not recommend this restaurant because their service is bad, food is bad and expensive.
- Cons: , Bad Food, Expensive

I visited the Addison restaurant and Jazz Cafe on the 18th of Sept and I tell you me and my girlfriends had the time of our live there. It was so relaxing, I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to relax and unwind.
