The “beef-comma” is avoidable and satisfaction is attainable
by KurtWvS
Was there last night. Wife loved it.. again (it’s her birthday)! They always take good care of us with diligence and class. Some Americans fear not being able to know when to stop (by turning your chip over to red)—the food is really excellent, but we haven’t had this problem at all. The “beef-comma” is avoidable and satisfaction is attainable. Very friendly A-W-A-K-E Brazilians—they don’t miss a thing in communication or serving and they can teach you a little Portugese every time! Relaxed, high-end warm living room atmosphere—an enjoyable place to unwind after a busy day. Highly recommend it!
- Pros: Sweet people
Here's Your Beef (and chicken and pork and...)
by MrsJones
With teenage boys finding somewhere that will fill them up with meat is always tricky! This is the place. The meat is always perfect and is offered before you have an opportunity to look for it. Especially try the house meats (the garlic crust is fabulous.)
The salad bar is the best ever. It offers perfect hearts of palm, cheeses, asparagus and much more in addition to the regular salad bar items.
The thing that makes the meal so memorable though is the service! The entire meal it seemed like we were the most important customers in the place (and we had teenagers and younger). From the hostess to the dessert, the staff was attentive without being cloying.
We will return for major occasions and minor ones as well.
- Pros: Great Food and Perfect Service
- Cons: Prices make it special event only
Wonderful meat
by cafltx
People go here for the meat, and it's very good. Also, the salad bar is outstanding. What mystifies me are the inedible mashed potatoes and fried bananas they put on every table. And yes, it is expensive--$48.50 for dinner, that does not include any beverage or dessert. Still they are better than their main competition, Texas de Brazil.
Go hungry! Great food

We were visiting from out of town. Wow, food was soooo good. Highly recommend it. However, go very hungry, you won't be able to move afterwards.
- Pros: Amazing food, fun place
- Cons: You won't be able to close your pants

I've never been to anything like this before. I kinda felt like a kid in a candy store. The salad bar is EXCELLENT. Loved the asparagus and the cucumber/tomato/red onion salad. Oh and the meat...the meat...the meat....and more meat. At first, not enough servers were coming around...then...well you know what happens after a buffet party.
consistently great!

Great Food & Salad Bar!

Fogo is the best Brazilian-style churrascaria in Dallas. All the sections are outstanding and the service is wonderful. There just isn't much more to say. This is one of those places you must dine in at least once before you die :)
- Pros: Outstanding Food & Service
- Cons: None
Fogo de "Show" Me the Meat
by _jm_
Awww yeah son, meat. So far the best Churra place I've been to. Great service, the Churra'boys remember you and which meats you like, so they make it a point to come back to you even if you're not on red! Oh yeah, the little rolls are to die for, but don't eat to many. I highly recommend eating here.
- Pros: Service, Meat, Atmosphere
- Cons: None
Pricey and addictive
by mwylder
I could almost curse the dear friends who introduced us to Fogo. We're totally addicted. My mouth waters when I just think of going there. It is our 'special place' for any special date we can think of. Try the brazillian lemonade. Fizzy and awesome. I grew up in Texas where beef is king. I only THOUGHT I loved beef before going to Fogo.
- Pros: Service, Meat, 'Salad' Bar
- Cons: Pricey
Meat is king at this elegant, all-you-can-eat Brazilian-style churrascaria.

The Scene
A fire-breathing pit casts flames onto huge cuts of meat. A sea of white tablecloths and a sumptuous salad bar dominate the large open space. Gauchos, or Brazilian cowboys, spirit over to tables wearing puffy pants, blue shirts and red kerchiefs. Each carries a silver skewer piercing a beautifully seasoned cut of meat. Guests turn paper discs to either the green or red side. When the gauchos see green, they come in droves to offer slices of succulent fare.
The Food
The meats--lamb, bacon-wrapped chicken, garlic chicken and every possible cut of beef--are astonishing in their simplicity and deliciousness. The salad bar is a wonder in itself, offering hearts of palm, prosciutto, exotic cheeses, a variety of olives and other delights. Addictive, hot cheese puffs melt on the tongue. Side dishes include decadent caramelized plantains and rich whipped potatoes.
