Sugaring

I'll write the same review here that I wrote on the other Yahoo! ratings page, I don't know about the hair technicians but I will never leave Dusti Seven as a client. Once you do sugaring, you never turn back. She has a great pace, and I'm completely comfortable and confident in her. I leave for school at months at a time and as soon as I get home - I go straight there, I won't let anyone else do my brazilians. She's the best!!!

i have to say, i have been getting waxed for a long time and have never had such a great experience. Sugaring is way less painful and amanda is so quick and thorough. I have recommended her to everyone. she is so friendly and very good at her work!

Best Hair stylist I've ever had!

My main reason to go here is to make use of the services of Rukhsana. She is amazing! I've never had anyone that consistently does such a wonderful job. She does great with my cut and colour and is the ONLY person I have ever trusted to try new things on my hair! I've had some great new looks I would never have thought of on my own and get tons of compliments. I brought 3 friends here and they all love her too! She is very friendly and personable and honest about what she thinks will work or not on your hair. She is also VERY talented at what she does and has a great eye for styling someone. I have to recommend her highly!

• Pros: Easy access, nice location. Rukhsana is here!

Brazilian Wax is Terrific

Don't let your first impression get in the way. The salon is a bit oudated and I'm not sure I've actually seen anyone getting their hair cut there, but their hair removal service is a diamond in the rough. Dusti provides a service called sugaring which isn't commonly offered in most salons. If you're still getting waxed down there, you're missing out big time. I've been waxed at several different places and each experience is worse than the last (I couldn't get an appointment with Dusti before New Year's and went to Aqua Med Spa in Dallas and it was one of the worst salon experiences of my life). Sugaring is much less painful, takes less time than waxing and you're not left with sticky residue. Dusti does a really thorough job and still makes you feel super comfortable. And it costs less than most nice salons charge for waxing!

• Pros: The Brazilian Wax
• Cons: The rest of the salon is kind of drap looking

Management lacks any customer service.

I called to make an appointment with my favorite stylist, Eddie, but was told he was out due to an injury. I almost decided against making an appt with another stylist but the receptionist promised me that he could find another stylist to fix my hair just as well. I went to have my hair wash and blown dry - it took 2 hours and the stylist had to use a flat iron but failed to tell me until I paid that it was an extra $15 for a flat iron fee. Eddie never used a flat iron and was able to get my hair straight without it so I wasn't aware of the additional charge. I complained to management but the refused to refund any of my money and were exceptionally rude. They're foreign so they either don't have a clue what importance customer service has in this country or they just don't care about running a successful business built on satisfied customers. I've been there 4 times this year but will never be back. If anyone knows where Eddie is, please let me know!

• Cons: inside looks like procuts, zero customer service, mgmt does not care about customer

Bikini Wax and Massage was fantastic!

I had a bikini sugaring and a massage package yesterday and I am super satisfied!

Dusti took care of my bikini area, eyebrows, and gave me a great facial and Stacy gave me the best massage I have ever had all for a great price.

I don't know who the male massage therapist the writer before me is talking about because I have not see a guy massage therapist there in the year I have been going to Final Cut Salon. It seems very irresponsible to write a review about an event over a year ago at least.

I have been very satisfied and I definitely will go back.

• Pros: Great Staff and attitude, hair removal was much easier than hot waxing!
• Cons: Sorry my massage had to end, it was so relaxing

Not professional

Not sure if the gentleman is still there but I had a massage there one time and will never be back. The masseur made me very uncomfortable saying things like "Oh baby, oh yeah, that's nice". I've never felt so dirty in my life. I found out later that he had similar problems at another salon but the owners of Final Cuts never bothered to check references. The owners are also very standoffish. They're nice if you agree with them but if you have a complaint they immediately become defensive and rude.

If you're not of European origin...

Apparently, their advertisement of specializing in "ethnic hair types" doesn't apply to natural hair of African origin. When I spoke to the guy on the phone and asked SPECIFICALLY about this he assured me that they deal with my hair type all the time..."we just had a woman come in with an afro last week" he told me. Needless to say, I learned the hard way how much of a lie that was! The guy didn't even know how to comb my hair...he gave me some blonde highlights and my hair is DARK BROWN!!! When I asked for a refund, he said that my scalp wasn't bleeding and I wouldn't be able to get any doctor to say that he had damaged my hair. Some customer service.... He even sank so low as to pretend he couldn't understand my English!!!

• Pros: NONE!
• Cons: My hair stylist was extremely rude!!

For CHI hair straightning...WRONG PLACE TO GO

I did CHI hair straightning at Final Cuts in Irving, it took 4 hours for the entire process. Manny is the name of the person who did it. I was promised that my hair would be permanent straight. After four hours of treatment and loss of hair i was home. My son as soon as he saw me said "mom what happened to your hair, you have a bald spot". Thats the time i went to the magnifying mirror and he was right, my hair line was burnt with the chemicals used and there was no difference in my hair. My hair was as wavy as it was before the CHI straightning, no difference at all. I paid $320.00 for this treatment. Manny said he can do nothing about it. The owner offered me that he would do the Brazelian straightning for free. I did not want to have any more chemicals on my scalp so i told him i would call back and set an appointment. I came home and googled "Brazelian straightning" . If i were you i would google it myself and see the reviews and take a decision on wheather or not to go for brazelian straightning. As for me i lost my money and also got a bald spot on my hair line. I would never recommened any one going to Final Cuts.

Great Service and Reasonable Prices for the young and stylish

Just moved from DC and I am very picky about my hair. I was scared that "Big Hair" was truly the Texas style. I gave "Final Cuts- A Touch of France" a try and was delighted with the results. If I can be totally pleased ANYBODY CAN. I am very particular about my hair and a stickler on professionalism. I like to feel extra special and relaxed when getting hair done. Roxanna is marvelous. She tamed my spiral lockes smoothing them silky fresh. I got many true compliments. So go get styled!

Refused to fix their own screw-up without further compensation

The salon claims on their website to be "Color correction specialists" but watch out. I spent 4 hours there, my hair was bleached then dyed then dyed again and it looked like a nightmare. They said to come back if I was unhappy so I came back and they refused to fix their own mistake. They told me initially that getting the dye out of my hair would be no problem and that it would cost $110. That's what I paid and my hair looked 100x worse when I left the first time. We had to argue with two stylists and the owners to get them to just throw another dark color on top of my hair so that it looks halfway passable. I still have black throughout my hair (about 2/3 black) so I will have to repeat all this bleaching and dying again.

• Cons: Refuse to do a good job
