Great

Love this place! Basically a weekly favorite. You can sit outside or dine in. Great food... pizza, wings, and pasta!!!! And the best part, save on the bill by bringing your own wine!
- Pros: Friendly, Great Food, BYOB
- Cons: Occasional Long Wait
Good place gone bad
by kenbntx at Citysearch
I used to go to this place ALL the time. It has great food. I enjoyed the staff. One night I had an awful experience and vowed never to return.
The tables are extremely close together. At the table next to me were 2 young men and a young woman. One of the men and the woman were obviously in lust with each other. She wore an extremely short dress and his hand was always up her thigh. The halter style top of the dress was always sagging and she was constantly pulling it up. Covino's is a family type place but this act was more suitable for a strip joint. When I said something to the person in charge, I was told I was being unreasonable and he threw the check book at me.
I was disappointed that, as a regular customer, I was treated like I was dirt. I will NEVER go back.
What a Place for Pizza and other Italian dishes
by dsbaron19 at Citysearch
My husband and I have been enjoying this little family restaurant in Plano for well over 12 years now. We love the BYO concept since they do not have a liquor license. The staff is great, the owner is friendly, and the food expecially the pizza is great. Very small space and they fill up quickly. On weekends you will see tons of people on the patio waiting for their table. It could be 1 hr wait . but worth it.
- Pros: Great food and great prices
- Cons: small you may have to wait for an hour for table
Great food, great service

Our first time to go to Covino's and we'll be going back again and again!
We had the Joe's special Pizza as an appetizer - all the ingredients were fresh and the crust was great! The meatballs on the pizza were so good. I bet that would be an excellent pizza topping for next time.
I can't wait to try the calamari next time. It looked awesome.
BYOB - can't beat that.
Also had Chicken Picatta that was fresh and a large portion. The lasagna was also excellent. They have a rosemary complementary bread that was to die for!
We can't wait to make this our regular and introduce our friends.
Little Italy in Plano
by paula8 at Citysearch
I am not Italian, butI grew up in New York which is the home of great pizza and Covino's meets the challenge. Aside from great pizza you can byob and enjoy the surroundings in this "Little Italy" restaurant. I love it when Big Joe is there he lends to the authenticity. When he is not there it is not the same. The Abruzzi bread, Pizza and lasagne top my list as well as their signature chicken dish. Which is not on the menu. Go figure? I really enjoy the atmosphere. The last time we were there a group of Italian men were sitting at the corner table. I wonder if they all had nicknames. Go for the pizza it is awesome.

Popular Plano B.Y.O.B. Italian restaurant is known for New York and Chicago deep-dish pizzas, plus pastas and more.
Best Pizza!
by donnaaries at Citysearch
The crust was amazing! And service was so fast even though the restaurant was packed. There is no beer/wine list but you can bring your own bottle for $1/person corking fee. Saw lots of people around us with their bottles of wine, will definitely have to remember to bring one next time!
- Pros: Pizza, Speedy Service, Value
THE best PIZZA in TEXAS bar NADA
by eustexas at Citysearch
Amigos. Paisanos. Lend me your ears, this is the best pie in Texas. I grew up on the Jersey shore, whre boardwalk pizza pies rule the world, and Joe's (Covino's) is as close as you can get and be 1000 miles inland. BYOB, there's a halfass selection at the rocery store across the street. No reservations, but the amiable crowd of regulars sipping their first bottle of wine outside will make you feel at home right away!
- Pros: food, Joe, Goomba music
- Cons: wait, parking, deal with it
