Lame Duck Hotel
by joys
The rooms are tiny, the service is bad, the elevators are frightening, and the part of downtown it's in is empty. I cannot believe this place stays open and that other people have had good experiences here. It was nearly empty when I stayed there on a Saturday night. Sure it's cheaper than other boutique hotels, but spend the extra money to stay somewhere like W or Hotel Zaza, in happening areas, with gourmet restaurants and fun clubs/lounges. This place's time is over. Like I said, spend a few extra bucks for a better hotel, location and service.
- Pros: Building

Awesome Rooms and Suites in Downtown Dallas
by megasue
I like the architecture and ambience at The Magnolia, especially love the suites on the top floor - GREAT VIEWS of Downtown Big D!! Service has always been top notch, and I recommend this hotel to out of town family and friends for this, the location, and the inside ambience.
- Pros: Nice Top Floor Suites, Great Downtown Location
Life-long customer
by amaggie01
After traveling to Dallas for my 3 year anniversary, my husband and I will be life-long customers of this hotel. The complimentary happy hour was fantastic and the milk and cookies every night were oh so adorable. We had a Deluxe room and we felt very posh there. The bed was extremely comfortable and luxurious with pillow shams and an upholstered headboard. The hotel definitely makes you feel as if you are staying somewhere quite special.
Great Location and Great Service

The personnel at the Magnolia Hotel were very pleasant and helpful like a quality hotel should be. The Happy Hour Service and 10-11pm milk and cookie hour makes for a very enjoyable stay!
- Pros: Staff, Amenities, Location
Located in the heart of downtown with Pegasus on top, this hotel offers Southern hospitality and modern amenities.

Outstanding service, food, information, decor, architecture and accomodations! My wife and I chose Dallas for our 6th Wedding anniversary to catch the Dixie Chicks at the State Fair, and we were most pleased with the Magnolia.
