First off, this place makes a good cup of coffee, which is just the first thing telling you you've made the right decision to eat at Bread Winners. I had a southwest-inspired egg dish and my girlfriend had the strawberry waffles. Both were excellent. The egg dish had a nice complement of tastes, and everything was perfectly fresh. The waffles were crisp and perfect with hand-whipped cream; hard to beat. Made for a great morning.
- Pros: Excellent breakfast, coffee, service
- Cons: Little parking
Great food and ambiance - good drink specials daily

I have been to both the uptown and plano locations.
They have half priced bottles of wine on wednesdays and martini specials on thursdays.
the bread on the table is awesome and the service has always been good.
The side dishes - especially the mac and cheese to to die for.
The vegetarian plate is one of the best meals I have ever had.
- Pros: Great food and good drink specials
- Cons: Nothing! Wish I could go more often!

In Short
The smell of pastries and homemade breads carries people into the quaint bakery entrance of this enchanting New Orleans style eatery. Greenery and eclectic accents bring the French Quarter to the ever hip McKinney Avenue. An outdoor bricked atrium and small front patio makes for a perfect brunch spot with great people watching. A vast variety of their popular menu items can be enjoyed throughout the day-a mimosa and smoked salmon scrambler for brunch, a grilled Portobello sandwich for lunch and buttermilk pan-fried chicken breast for dinner.

This is the perfect place to spend your Sunday afternoon - good food, great waitstaff, not to mention the mimosa's - if you can stand a 30 minute wait your Sunday will be perfect!

I do not understand why people rave about breadwinners. I have been there multiple times and am a dallas native...i simply don't get it. the breakfast bread sampler at the beginning generally has four types of bread and only one is good. why would i want tomato basil bread in a breakfast pastry mix every single time? Last time i went i decided to try some type of french toast with cinnamon or something but it didn't have any taste. it's decent but definitely does not live up to the hype. really, if you want good breakfast, go to the pancake house where they have good waffles, good pancakes and real syrup. mmmm

Breadwinners has been around forever, and for a reason. They have a walk in bakery and also a really cool dining area in the back. The atmosphere is really cool, the lighting is different, kind of hard to describe - luminous. Check it out.

My coworkers and I ate breakfast here. We loved the atmosphere and the all the different breads they brought to the table. The French Toast was amazing. The price was about average.

The food is fair, not much of a selection and not a good choice for children. The cost is a little pricey for the quality of the food. The desserts however are fabulous.

I used to come her with coworkers for lunch. I loved the complimentary bread baskets that come with the meal. However, most of the lunch entrees were just too bland and overpriced for me. Pretty location in the heart of Uptown.
The best breakfast in dallas!

Love love love this place! The portions are ample, the quality FRESH and excellent, the drinks the way they should be ie: coffee hot and tea cold and not watered down?. The service is always excellent! I have NEVER had a bad dish, service or day at this place. Try one of the scrambles, I have those on Sundays and they are my favorite!
- Pros: Try sitting in the 'garden, it is fantastic!
- Cons: Long waits on weekends, so come early or wait ( it's worth it either way)
