Romantic atmosphere, excellent food
by AlyshaB2005
My girlfriend and I went here about a year ago so I'm a little hazy on what we ordered, but I remember the food was delicious, the service was attentive and creme brulee was the best I've had before or after. The only reason we stayed away so long is because it can be a little pricey (of course we split a bottle of wine, had appetizers, and desserts so you could probably get out of there much cheaper). But, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It's not very big, just a small bar area and one dining room, which makes it feel cozy and romantic. It's truly one of the best kept secrets in Dallas...I don't know why it isn't on a best of list.
- Pros: The food, service and ambience
- Cons: Parking and price
Great service, food and atmosphere

It's refreshing to visit a place the exceeds expectations. I knew the wine selection would be fantastic, but the food is much better than expected. The waitstaff is always knowledgeable and attentive.
- Pros: Romantic
A bustling see-and-be-seen scene accompanies playfully reinvented Italian food in the picturesque Travis Walk.

The Scene
White-tile floors, brown taffeta drapes flecked with gold, cream-colored walls and blond-wood tables give the space a burst of sunshine. The open, large room with the L-shaped bar allows a lively noise quotient.
The Food
Crisscrossed slices of white bread wait to be dipped in olive oil. Thick, rectangular slices of calamari look like steak fries, but the "ketchup" is a spicy chili sauce. An untraditional take on bread salad, the Panzanella, mixes croutons with red and yellow tomato slices in a vinaigrette. Outstanding mussels simmer in a light broth of cilantro, wilted spinach, mushrooms and jalapeno slices. Buccatini, or hollow spaghetti, clings well to a smooth, buttery, tomato-kissed sauce. An earthy mushroom risotto with well-separated grains combines artichoke hearts with the perfume of truffle oil. Zabaglione is light, sweet and creamy.
