Best sushi in Dallas!
by Beako
The best Sushi restaurant in Dallas! I recommend the Kobe beef that you you cook on a hot rock. Also, the yellowtail is always the freshest in town. I always take people from out of town and have yet to be disapointed. It is a dining experience and makes you feel in another place.
- Pros: Freshest seafood and nice ambience
- Cons: usually have to wait
Great, but some customer service issues
by btbam88
Loved the food, service was good, and ambiance was good too. Made reservations for a large group weeks in advance, however, our reservation was lost. After arguing with the manager, which was a good guy, and yelling at him made me feel bad (sorry), I got the reservation. Waited but 15 minutes to be seated. I recommend their lobster in some sake/juice. GREAT!!!
- Pros: Food, Ambience, Service
- Cons: popularity has made reservations a must
My favorite restaurant in the DFW metroplex.

So I had this long review written out with great description then my computer messed up and deleted it.
All I can say is that Tei Tei Robata Bar is the best sushi restaurant in Dallas and I highly recommend it to anyone who is willing to drop a few dimes for some tasty, fresh sushi and delicious sake.
- Pros: It's just amazing
- Cons: my stomach isn't big enough
FABULOUS SUSHI
by calmellow9876
After seeing the previous reviews, I felt like this would be a good place to eat.
But, it was better than I could ever imagine.
I didn't make a reservation, but felt that if I went early enough I would be ok.
I arrive at 6:15 p.m. on a Friday night. At this point, the place was not to busy. I was quickly seated directly in front of the sushi preparation area.
The wait staff was always available. They quickly took my order and the sushi chefs started on my order almost immediately. As quickly as I emptied a dish itwas removed from the table.
My tea cup was never empty. And the food just kept coming.
The sushi was very fresh, perfectly prepared and delivered to the table as quick as possible.
I have not had sushi like this since I left New York. Between the atmosphere and the freshness of the sushi Tei Tei could has no equal.
most authentic ROBATA bar in TX!!
by teknodogg
Sashimi, sushi, and their lobster is always fresh and made/grilled to perfection. Manager is friendly as hotess but they should really hire one. TORO is incredible!!! they use the very rare blue-fin tuna (so far the only place I know that serve it). deliver of the food is great as well~ dishes looks great, unique dishes (ex: cornflake shrimp), many choices of cold, smooth sake to choose from and ofcourse Sapporo comes in the original 16oz bottle with ice cold drinking glass like it should. being asian this is the most authentic and tastey food I've had so far living and traveling in the US for over 15+ years
oh yea...their roll is good too~
- Pros: Food!! deco, area, extremely professional wait staff, and friendly bartenders
- Cons: party of more than 5 long wait, long wait for pick up valet parked cars

Sashimi is always fresh. I guess since I'm a frequenter there, I get the manager to serve me. She knows what I order and the sushi griller grills my lobster to perfection.
- Pros: BBQ Lobster, Chilean Sea Bass, Personal Service
- Cons: Always running out of Toro!!!
Great food, great atmosphere
by crashnburn
I visited this place along with another sushi restaurant while I was in town on business. The food was great! I started with a few sushi rolls and then moved on to the foiled grilled sea bass which was exceptional. I sat at the bar and ate and had drinks which was a great atmosphere. I had read other reviews saying how busy it was and the long wait but for a lone visitor I had no problem sitting down after 8pm. It's in a great area and the service was great; I will return when I'm back in town.
- Pros: Ambience, Food, Area
BEST in town!

Everyone loves Tei Tei! They only serve the best of everything! I just LOVE it! Always FRESH & DELICIOUS!
- Pros: QUALITY!! Valet parking.
- Cons: Wait staff not all that great. Too Small. Ridiculous reservation window.
Drink Before You Eat
by iamhagel
The wait at this restuarant is long you are basically forced to have a drink before you are seating, if not five. The waitress even said that plenty of people are "not sober" when they begin to eat. I can attest from seeing this red head face down on the table unable to move. The establishment looks very nice, but it is very small. Once we were finally seating I noticed that the sushi menu was not all too extensive. There was not even 10 rolls listed on the menu, that is horrible for a sushi place. They ran out of Toro, which I was extremly upset about. However, the shrimp appitizer was excellent. In addition, there were signs for no smoking but that rule was clearly broken as they even provided customers with ash trays. Furthermore they do not take reservation past 6:30, unless your VIP. There was a table for 8 not in use for an hour because it was on hold for someone else. If we did not have to wait close to 2 hours to be seated I am sure my opinion would be different, but I did. As a plus this place is really great for people watching, especially when you are there for a long period of time. Overall, if you can get there early and don't have to wait I would say go ahead because other people seem to like it.
- Pros: Valet Car Service
- Cons: Wait, Small Space
Great for the eyes, average for the palate
by nomikui
Very nice decor, ambient. The presentation of the dishes, mainly the pottery, are "super". Unfortunately, the food had lots of "up and downs": great grilled Branzini, but fishy Octopus (Nuta); great quail with scallion, but insipid and "watery" Soboro Daikon; a perfectly cooked wings, but "what happed with the chef?" tasting Kinki and Asari Sakamushi. The young lady that was our waitress was unbearably "dark"...no smile, no reaction,no...everything... A Japanese restaurant, but most definitely, not a place for the native Japanese. (And there was not a single Japanese the night I was there).
- Pros: Decor, presentation of the dishes.
- Cons: Too many: Too salty, too insipid.
