Terrible
by jamma422
I recently went to the Dubliner for St. Patrick's day. I received terrible service and tipped accordingly only to have the bar tender follow me outside to yell at me about my tip. Also one person made mention of the bathrooms being nasty, they must have heard you because they now simply have porta potties, which are considerably nastier. The long and short is NEVER GO HERE!!!!!
- Pros: None
- Cons: Dirty, Unprofessional Staff, Not a good atmosphere
A Little Bit Frigid for an Irish Pub
by MrCapricorn
There seems to be a younger, unfriendly group staffing the place. There is a frigid atmosphere where I kind of have the feeling like everyone is thinking "Customers are so inconvenient." I bet my girlfriend that she couldn't make our waitress say "Your Welcome" after serving a drink, and I won. I probably would have won the eye-contact bet as well if we had made one.
Side rant: I really wish owners would stop staffing their bars with these kids who think being a bartender is an MTV reality show. I know it's tempting to put a skirt on some eye candy and call her a bartender, but it's just not as good as having a real bartender there. Maybe it will bring in a few dbags to flirt with her, but it's not really worth how much you are going to lose from the heavy and regular drinking crowd. At least put them on days until they learn how to tend.
The bar itself is pretty good. Nice selection of beer and would otherwise be very cozy.
We are in our late 20's and went there about 6 or 7 times before giving up on it. It's just a little too uptight and unfriendly for us.
- Pros: Example: best croissants in town
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
Seedy at best.

All I have to say is I've NEVER seen a nastier bathroom in my life. If they don't take care of that, what else don't they keep up with? Washing their dishes? I agree with the last guy, the people that work there all seem to have sprouted from the same social reject garden. You expect that kind of social fringe from a dirty dollar beer place, not a bar in that area. Beer/drinks aren't priced low enough for me to subject myself to things like getting herpies from the beer mugs and HIV from the bathroom.
- Pros: It's across the street from a good restaurant.
- Cons: Just look at it.
Gone Really Downhill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by jarful
Loved it before, rarely step in unless forced now. Good beer selection is the one positive thing so if you drink enough you might enjoy yourself if you can even get a drink. A very Creepy staff has been introduced over the last year and they are unfriendly and immature. What happened to Lenny, Vince, Linda and the other nice servers? Now there is grumpy, teennybopper brat, and slow service. The former crowd was a mix of average aged adults and young professionals, they are missing and replaced with a garage rock kiddie crowd. Where are the Irish and English and Scots? I will stop in the Old Monk on occasion but forget this place. Can the Dubliner be saved?
- Pros: Beer Selection
- Cons: Majorly the Staff and new crowd.
Irish pub combines the friendliness of a neighborhood bar with the trendiness of its Lower Greenville location.

In Short
WWII-era Guinness posters decorate the low-lit interior of the cozy Dubliner, which boasts 13 tables and a 30-foot mahogany bar. The front patio has a few of theGreenville traffic. The pub is known for its 32 Scotch and Irish whiskeys, like Bushmills and Tullamore Dew. Grab one of 11 beers and ciders on tap and head out front for people-watching on the deck. If you're hungry, there's pub fare--like sandwiches, Welsh rarebit and baked potatoes.
Good spot to start

I like coming here for happy hour and enjoying a cheap Harp beer. also, if you come early enough, you can park right out front.
Makes you feel at home
by karlita13
This is the best place to feel at home. The people who work there and the patrons are like family. Great atmosphere but a little smokey at times. The owners stop in on weekends and have shots with their regulars. The only place where I have drank all night and when I got my tab it was $20 bucks. I can't say enough good things about this Dallas icon!
- Pros: Great Service, Great Staff, great jukebox
- Cons: , no parking, no parking
food and drink
by mgstars20
Doesn't offer a wide variety of foods, just about 6 different sandwiches, which are very good, and the beer is excellent, lots of different kinds on draught.
- Pros: good beer, good variety of beer
Great beer
by tehart
I felt comfortable bringing my mom in here. The beer is cold and fresh. The bar itself was dark, and the seating was uncomfortable. It seemed like a good place to bring friends, but not necessarily a good place to meet new ppl.
- Pros: good beer
great pint of guinness

fun place to hang out on lower greenville, with a rockin' jukebox, a laid-back vibe and a good selection of beers. nice place to chill with buddies on a weekday night. gets crazy packed weekends.
