this place used to be great...

this bar used to be great. it had a great selection of whiskeys (which coincided with the name), and now the selection is beyond poor. this was the place bartenders came to drink...not so much anymore.

the bartenders are cool and know how to pour a drink, unfortunately they work for dbags.

i hope this establishment works back to what it once was-a great place for happy hour, a great place to go out with friends, and a great neighborhood bar.

To have one of the few roof top patios on greenville, in the now non-smoking dallas, is a clear advantage. so hopefully the owners will stop drinking so much and come to their senses to bring whiskey bar back to its prime!

Yes, a typical bar....but I sure love the place

Whiskey Bar is fun, has a great patio on the roof, and really great bartenders. We love Steve. Thursdays are $1 beer night. The only downside is that there isn't very much room downstairs, so if you don't get a seat at the bar, other options are limited. Of course you could always just get up and dance....

Luckily the patio is huge with lots of seating and a fire pit, which is really cool. I can walk there, so not really sure about parking.

• Cons: Same people all the time...I guess I'm one of them.

Excellent Bar, Music and Staff

I am fairly new to Dallas and have been to several bars and clubs. So far Whisky Bar has been the one of the best. I absolutely love the rooftop patio with the fire pit. The view of Greenville from the rooftop is great and fun to watch. The bartenders and security are fun and courteous, and uplifting. DJ Snoddy, what can I say, he's an awesome guy. I love his music and personailty. He was one of the first persons I met here in Dallas. I had an excellent night there and I highly recommend this bar to anyone that wants to kick back and have a good time.

• Cons: Parking, drink specials could have been a bit better

It is a great place to have a drink and enjoy the view....

I love the Wiskey Bar summer & winter time. We enjoy the outdoor patio in the evening time and the service is always great. We go often to check out what is going on and enjoy the view.

I have been with my girlfriends and with my husband and always had a good time.

Lots of hot young women. Great DJ and friendly service. Smokeeaters keep the clear and great restaurant next door. Roof top patio with fire pit is the only one in Dallas.

It's mainly men in business suits with loosened ties here. Known for its whiskey bar draw and cigar-friendly crowds, the eclectic, tasteful decor makes it easy to relax with friends. There' s outdoor seating that's great for groups. The mostly male clientele appear to find comfort in numbers. Good drink specials and modern music keep them coming back.
