Best education for my children by Michael S. at InsiderPages

Both my son and daughter graduated from the Carlisle school. The program is fabulous! By the time my children started first grade they were already a year ahead of the other students in math and reading. They knew where they were on a world map and could pick out the flags of other countries. They had a working knowledge of the Spanish language and could name the bones correctly on a skeleton. They could match the names of composers with their works, and artists with their painting and sculptures. They played on the playground and learned the fundamentals of basketball, baseball, and other sports. Birthdays were celebrated with each child making a heart-felt wish for the birthday celebrant (long life, happiness, fun, etc.).
Because of this loving and caring environment my freshman daughter and 4th grade son speak several languages (Spanish, French, Chinese and Latin, between them.) They both play concert violin (both have had concerts at the Morton Myerson Symphony Center). They both attend advanced college preparatory schools and both have straight A grades in the very toughest of academic and social environments. My daughter plays Lacrosse and rows on Crew and has been to the State robotics championship this year.
I am convinced that none of this would have been possible without the love, care and guidance of the Carlisle's (who suggested the College prep school my daughter attends).
What makes the Carlisle School so unique? Well, if you are looking for a cookie-cutter program or a franchise operation then this is not the place for your children. Mrs. Carlisle has over 35 years teaching experience. She has the ability to assess your child; ascertain their strengths and weaknesses; and provide a nurturing and educational atmosphere that boosts their self-esteem and creates a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

The Carlisle School is truly amazing. Imagine sending your child to a cozy cottage with a large backyard full of playground equipment and toys. Imagine a schoolroom hung with pictures of the great masters of art, literature, and music. Imagine an easle for painting and creating. Imagine your kindergartner learning Robert Frost poems from memory and enjoying it. Imagine your child feeling loved, nurtured, respected and honored as an individual. Imagine your child learning more than you thought possible. Imagine the convenience of being able to drop off your child as early at 7:00 AM or pick up as late at 6 PM on the days when you need to, and not paying any extra fee. Imagine the best possible early childhood experience for your child, and you will perhaps get a glimpse of the Carlisle School.
- Pros: too many to name
- Cons: NONE
Top Notch School

This small school doesn't advertise; you must learn of it from friends. My son and daughter attended, and I couldn't have been more pleased. It is a classic in every sense. The children leave more poised and refined from their experience with the Carlisles. In many ways, it's like stepping back in the good part of the 40's.
Probably the best kindergarten in Dallas

My three grandchildren attended this school, and all have had very successful educations. They were always more academically confident than their peers.
Dr. Richard Carlisle is a scholar, and Mrs. Carlisle is a gifted Montessorian -styled teacher.
This school reminds me of the great prep schools of the forties.
- Pros: superior on small scale
- Cons: wish it were larger and included 1-12
