Not a bad way to spend a Sunday!

by Portia Luis

The ambiance is strange. You are seated around the periphery of the restaurant. I felt like we were being smacked up against the wall. We had to hopp out of our seat b/c a noisy child was seated near by. Last Sunday we dined at Lambert's brunch. The seating was better. We had a small 4 chair wooden table in the middle of the floor, but the atmosphere was quiet. The atmosphere at Blue Mesa Grill was quiet when we moved our seat. We had to wait a long, long, long, long time for th waitress to offer the mimosa or any drink. At Lambert's we were offered a good tasting mimosa right away and the mimosas kept coming w/out any appreciable wait until we held our hand up. The mimosa at Lambert's is "fresh squeezed"

  • Pros: The sunday brunch has many "lunch" options
  • Cons: Maybe too many choices. Service is passetto! Weak mimosas.

Nice

The atmosphere is very pleasant, if you like Mexican food you?ll definitely enjoy this venue. Parking setup can use improvements but all in all ? very enjoyable. I will surely revisit this establishment.

  • Cons: Parking could be better

good food

by sonic35

I really enjoyed my experience here. I loved the variety of chips they gave us before our meal. The food was good, but I wish they had more of a variety. Their dulce de leche cake was awesome! I will go back again.

Best Sunday Brunch

by cdinsmore

Whenever I have guests come in from out of town this is the last place I take them on Sunday before sending them home. Their Sunday Brunch that raps around half the restaurant has everything you could want : waffles, omelets made fresh with the ingredients you choose, fajitas, free mimosas, and desserts.

  • Pros: Sunday Brunch, Food Variety
  • Cons: Parking

great any time

by lindsaybee1

I think every experience I've had there has been great. Dinner with friends, work-related functions, happy hours, even brunch was unbelievable! Happy hour is great, as there are free quesadillas and good beer prices. The top-shelf margaritas are some of the best I've had. I definitely recommend it!!

Delicious Food, Unique Twist

by jetsetter9008

Blue Mesa is one of my very favorite restaurants in Dallas. I'm not quite sure which category the food falls under, as it isn't necessarily Mexican or Tex-Mex, but perhaps a blend of South American dishes. First, you will receive a bowl of traditional tortilla chips mixed with sweet potato chips (highly recommended) and two types of salsa. Ask for the guacamole to go along with the chips - it's fantastic. As for entrees, the avocado enchiladas and any of the quesadillas are highly recommended. Try a dessert - flan is great.

  • Pros: Staff, atmosphere, food

Patrons come for the shimmering decor, creative food presentation--and to sample a bit of Santa Fe in Dallas.

The Scene
Sangre Cristo colors meet modern furnishings at this renowned tequila bar and New Mexico-esque restaurant near North Park Mall. Sunset hues, stark concrete and glass all add to the moonlight-in-Taos vibe.

The Food
Tortilla soup includes the usual ingredients, plus smoked chilies and fresh lime. For vegetarians, the colorful Painted Desert soup features half a bowl of black bean and half of corn chowder. The avocado, mango and jicama salad showcases the eponymous ingredients' creaminess, sweetness and fresh crunchiness. It juxtaposes them against citrus grilled shrimp and is topped off with a tangy tequila-orange vinaigrette. The Latin barbecue chicken is a popular choice; half a bird, skin on, with garlic-and-herb seasoning flanks sweet roasted veggies.

I love the new menu look and slogan at Blue Mesa Grill! They have the absolute best southwestern menu in the Metroplex! You must try it! They also have a great location in Plano and Ft Worth!
